Here’s a little secret, my friends: I’m a collector of children’s books. The reason? It’s actually more grown-up than it sounds.

I love books as objects to display and show off, and children’s books are, without a doubt, the most beautiful of them all… Obviously, they’re full of pictures!

If there’s one place that reminds me of a happy, carefree childhood here in Cortina, it’s definitely one: Libreria Sovilla! A magical, fragrant space frozen in time that still makes me dream just like back then, the gentle, fresh time of youth! Libreria Sovilla is the bookstore of Cortina.

Run with love and dedication by Franco and Nicoletta, noble and gracious souls just like their predecessors, Ilario and Giovanna, whom I still remember fondly as if it were yesterday… Sovilla is a true cult bookstore where you can find the best of international publishing: from refined art and photography books to stunning architecture and design manuals, and much more, entire volumes on World War I or the breathtaking Dolomites and our mountains.

If there’s one section that really blows my mind, it’s the one dedicated to children’s books. A truly rich and exemplary selection, crafted with taste, care, and a touch of poetry.
