From June 24 to October 5, 2025, the Rimoldi Museum will host an exhibition dedicated to Paolo Barozzi, an Ampezzo artist between painting, memory and decoration.
Paolo Barozzi Exhibition
The Mario Rimoldi Museum of Modern Art will dedicate summer 2025 to the life and work of Paolo Gabriele Barozzi — artist, decorator, and art designer deeply connected to his hometown, Cortina d’Ampezzo. The exhibition, open from June 24 to October 5, is a heartfelt homage to a man who left a lasting mark on the artistic and human landscape of Cortina d’Ampezzo.
Barozzi passed away in June 2024, leaving behind a legacy of technical mastery, cultural richness, and emotional depth. His artworks on display — including paintings and symbolic decorations found throughout Cortina in chapels, villas, hotels, and commemorative plaques — tell the story of his profound love for beauty and place.
The exhibition, organized in agreement with his family, stems from a sentiment of friendship and gratitude. Alongside Barozzi’s pieces, the museum will also showcase works by fellow artists and close friends: Emilio Bassanin, Gianfranco Mantovani Orsetti, Tobia Ravà, Giovannibattista Segurini, and Giovanni Schiaroli — all united by the spirit of an “artistic gathering.”
