On Sunday, August 2, 2026, the event “Touch History with Your Hands” returns — a historical reenactment among the trenches and military positions of the 5 Torri Open-Air Museum of the Great War, in the heart of the Dolomites.
Historical reenactors from across Europe, dressed in original uniforms and with authentic setups, will bring to life the daily life of soldiers during World War I. A fully immersive day featuring stories, reconstructions, and military camp life at high altitude. At 10:30 AM, the traditional Holy Mass in the mountains will take place.
The event is free of charge, no reservation is needed, and open to everyone.The reenactors will be available to the public to share insights and satisfy curiosities about the historical context.
