The Cortina Dobbiaco Run is one of the most scenic races in the Dolomites, combining sport, nature, and iconic mountain landscapes.
The event takes place on May 31, 2026, starting in Cortina d’Ampezzo, the Queen of the Dolomites, along Corso Italia, and finishing at the Grand Hotel Park in Dobbiaco. The course stretches for approximately 30 km, following much of the historic Dolomites railway route. The trail runs mainly on gravel with a gentle uphill gradient, passing through tunnels, suspended bridges, and spectacular natural scenery. Along the way, runners enjoy breathtaking views of the Dolomites, including unforgettable panoramic sections and the famous viewpoint overlooking the Tre Cime di Lavaredo.
The Cortina Dobbiaco Run stands out for its vibrant atmosphere and a full weekend program featuring multiple races and events designed for different levels and types of participants. In addition to the main race, there are side competitions, non-competitive runs, and charity initiatives, making the event accessible and engaging for everyone.
Each year, the event attracts around 20,000 participants and spectators, transforming the race into a true celebration of sport in the Dolomites.
The Cortina Dobbiaco Run is not just a race, but a journey through extraordinary landscapes, mountain silence, and iconic Dolomite scenery — a must-attend event for running enthusiasts.
