Una Montagna di Libri is Cortina d’Ampezzo’s long-standing literary festival that, for over fifteen years, has brought great culture to the heart of the Dolomites. Twice a year — in winter and summer — the alpine lounge transforms into a unique stage for writers, journalists, philosophers, poets, and intellectuals from around the world.

The festival’s goal is to create a lively and accessible dialogue between authors and the audience, in a setting that blends the beauty of the mountain landscape with the intensity of contemporary thought.

The program ranges from fiction to nonfiction, from current affairs to poetry, offering a rich calendar of free events, always open to everyone.

The summer festival takes place every year from late June to early September, accompanying Cortina’s seasons with dozens of talks and conversations set in iconic locations around the Ampezzo valley.

The winter festival is held every year from early December to mid-March, bringing cultural events, conferences, and talks to the snowy days, enlivening even the coldest season.
