Festa Campestre Azon
On Saturday, August 1, and Sunday, August 2, 2026, the traditional Azon Summer Festival (known as Festa Campestre Azon) returns to the beautiful setting of Cason di Peziè de Parù.
Two days celebrating Ampezzo traditions, friendship and good company, with local food specialities, beer, refreshing drinks and the Nighele, traditional round fritters made with a soft, raisin-filled dough, the festival’s traditional sweet treat.
The festivities begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, followed in the afternoon by live acoustic music from Fulvio Marinello and a DJ set in the evening. On Sunday, the festival continues from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., accompanied by the acoustic sounds of the Velvet Trio.

The historic districts, known as sestieri, are at the heart of Cortina d’Ampezzo’s cultural heritage. The Ampezzo Valley has traditionally been divided into six Sestieri: Alverà , Azon, Cadin, Chiave, Cortina, and Zuel.
Originally established as territorial divisions of the valley, the districts still maintain a strong sense of identity and community spirit. Throughout the year, they organize numerous events and initiatives that bring together both residents and visitors.
The traditional summer festivals are among the most anticipated events of the season, offering a unique opportunity to experience local traditions, regional cuisine, and the welcoming community spirit that makes Cortina d’Ampezzo so special.
