Chiave Summer Fest
On Saturday, 22 August, from 11:00 am, the traditional Chiave Summer Festival comes to Fiames for a day filled with local flavours, music and entertainment.
Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy grilled specialities, tripe and tirtlan, a traditional delicacy of the Chiave district. The festivities will be accompanied by plenty of live music, featuring some of the greatest hits from the 1990s and 2000s.
A wonderful opportunity to come together, enjoy good company and experience the authentic atmosphere of a traditional village festival in Cortina d’Ampezzo.
Cortina d’Ampezzo’s six historic districts, known locally as sestieri, lie at the heart of the town’s traditions. The Ampezzo community has historically been divided into six districts: Alverà , Azon, Cadin, Chiave, Cortina and Zuel.
Originally established as territorial divisions of the Ampezzo valley, the sestieri still preserve a strong sense of belonging and organize numerous events and activities for residents and visitors throughout the year.
The summer country festivals are among the most eagerly awaited events of the season, offering an authentic introduction to local traditions, regional cuisine and the strong community spirit that defines Cortina d’Ampezzo.
